Care packages

Chris is going to Vegas this weekend with his dad. They are going to the Cigar Aficionado's Big Smoke weekend.  He is really looking forward to going and playing golf and having some good ole relaxation with his dad.

The only problem is.... I'm going to miss him. But, I've decided to do a few things to show him how much I miss him.  I've decided to make him some care packages.  I went to the dollar store and got some boxes to put everything in.  Each one will be wrapped with a card and a note on when to open it.  Here are the boxes and ideas that I have so far.

Open on the plane:

  • Gum
  • Headphone cord keeper (He already has headphones that he likes.)
  • Homemade cookies

When you get to the hotel:

  • Scentsy Travel Tin in his favorite scent
  • pillow case with my perfume
  • Couple of mini's to kick off the boys weekend

Open before you go golfing:

  • New golfing shirt
  • New golf towel
  • 2 boxes of new golf balls, one box is decorated with his name and the other is decorated with his father's name (Topher and Dr. K)
  • A bunch of mini top shelf liquor bottles
  • Golf clips for Cigars, They hold the cigar while the boys are swinging

Open in the event of a hang over:

Hey, I'm a realist, I know he is going to have fun, but I don't want him to suffer.
  • More Mini booze bottles
  • Tylenol
  • granola bars
  • gum

UPDATE:

Well, he and his father safely made it home and had fun, so now I can post this, Most of these made it to Vegas.  I ran out of time/patients with some of them.

The day that I went to go get most of the things, the manager of the golfing section saw me wandering around aimlessly, and she came to help me.  So, she talked me into the towel and the balls, and I bought them, then later that afternoon, Chris' Dad asked me to go and grab some golf shoe bags, so the next morning we went back, and she helped Chris and I again..... She looked at me and I did the "shhhh." and she pretended like I wasn't there the day before. So... To Lindsey at Dick's Sporting Goods West store... Thank you for holding my cover!
